The rooms have a lovely ambiance, featuring all wood decor that feels uniquely Thai. I spent one night and enjoyed some of the traditional dishes at the restaurant, which were delicious, especially the desserts. The owner went out of his way to help arrange a tour to some historical temples nearby, making my visit to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya more enjoyable. Watching the sunset by the lily pond was a peaceful way to wind down after a day of exploring.

We loved everything about our stay! The spacious room had a fridge, air conditioning, and a huge shower with a lovely view of the fields and a temple. Dinner by the water was wonderful, and breakfast was the best we’ve had in Thailand. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The place feels like a time capsule with its unique decor and lovely pond. I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast by the water. Tony, the owner, was super helpful in arranging my temple tours. The pool area was perfect to cool off after sightseeing. A charming escape overall! 🌿

The hotel feels outdated and needs maintenance, with several areas appearing shabby. Water quality was an issue during the stay, with yellow and brown water seen in the shower. The location is remote, far from bars, restaurants, and shops, so a taxi is essential to get around. The breakfast options were basic, lacking variety and creativity, which was disappointing for the price paid.

Staying at Ayutthaya Retreat was a delightful experience. The traditional Thai architecture and wooden decor of the Deluxe Double Room created a cozy, serene atmosphere. Relaxing by the pond with hammocks offered a perfect escape after a day of exploring. The open-air bathroom felt luxurious and unique. Staff members, especially Tony, were genuinely helpful—he arranged a temple tour that made the visit effortless. Breakfast was enjoyable, though I hoped for a bit more variety. A minor issue was the firmness of the mattress, but I adjusted easily and slept well. While the pool area had potential, it felt somewhat neglected, and the overhead lights posed safety concerns. Overall, I appreciated the charm and tranquility this place offers, just a short tuk-tuk ride from the city center.

We stayed in a Deluxe Double Room. The firm mattress was a huge win, and we loved having a mosquito net—it’s a must here. The room had a nice peaceful vibe, no nighttime noise, which was great for relaxing after a long day exploring. The decor was beautifully traditional, and the spacious layout really made it feel like a retreat. However, we found the pool area not very inviting, it could use some improvements.
